David's criminal defense practice primarily concerns financial and other white collar matters including bank fraud, billing fraud, bribery, computer fraud, embezzlement, financial institution crimes, health care fraud, identity theft, money laundering, mortgage fraud, public corruption, securities fraud, and tax fraud. His civil practice features a broad variety of litigation and administrative matters including agricultural, antitrust, class actions, construction, contracts, corporate, employment, environmental, estates, fraud, health care, land use, licensing, partnerships, products liability, professional liability, securities, and toxic torts.
David has substantial experience in defending complex matters at the investigative, pretrial, trial and appellate levels. He has successfully argued motions, tried cases, and appealed decisions in numerous federal and state courts and administrative forums. He specializes in identifying and briefing factual and legal issues quickly in order to resolve disputes in their infancy, or avoid them entirely.
After graduating with honors from Duke University and Georgetown University Law Center, David practiced at a large firm for two years. He then formed a boutique litigation practice with Jack Arseneault. Their partnership has continued uninterrupted for over 25 years.
David is consistently recognized in both The Best Lawyers in America and New Jersey Super Lawyers. He has published several articles analyzing developments in the law and lectures on emerging legal issues.
